As the market transformed, so did we—rising from a regional pilot to a national force, from rooftop installations to zero-carbon village models, and from policy alignment to global brand expansion. Looking back, we find that every year left behind not just data or growth curves—but moments worth remembering.

2015 – A New Journey Begins
CHINT ANNENG was launched as a bold response to China‘s emerging rural solar market. Backed by the strength of CHINT GROUP, we began delivering comprehensive PV solutions to households across vast rural areas, opening a new chapter in C-end energy service.
2016 – Becoming a Benchmark in Zhejiang Province, China
Our “Golden Rooftop” project in Zhixi Jiayuan residential community set provincial records for speed, scale, and adoption. It became a model of distributed PV deployment, gaining international attention at the 2017 Astana World Expo.
2017 – Sharing Rooftops, Sharing Benefits
We pioneered a shared-benefit model where rural households provided idle rooftops, and we operated the systems. The result? Families gained annual income from their own rooftops—earning national policy recognition years later.
2017 – Investing in Solar Talent
To address the sector’s talent gap, we launched the CHINT ANNENG Solar Academy, training over 500,000 individuals through 1,200+ programs in partnership with top universities and institutions. A foundation for long-term, healthy market growth was laid.
2018 – Counter-Cyclical Growth
As the industry slowed due to Subsidies from the Chinese government cuts, we accelerated. Guided by the principle “advance when others retreat,” we expanded from regional operations to a nationwide network, protecting our partners while sustaining growth.
2018 – Setting Industry Standards
That same year, CHINT ANNENG co-authored China’s first “Residential Grid-Connected PV System” standard, and participated in drafting 13 other national guidelines—raising the bar for system safety, wind resistance, and full-lifecycle quality management.
2021 – Zero-Carbon, Realized
Our “China Zero-Carbon Village” pilot in Gansu province，China demonstrated how distributed solar could uplift entire counties through integrated planning, household benefits, and smart energy service centers—becoming a reference case for rural transformation.
2021 – Public-Private Synergy
As the NEA launched the county-wide rooftop PV pilot initiative, we embraced a collaborative model—pairing the flexibility of private enterprises with the scale of SOEs. The result: scalable, replicable clean energy deployment across towns and districts.
2022 – Committing to ESG and Responsibility
We released the first ESG report in China’s residential PV sector, and launched the “One Kilowatt-Hour” Public Welfare Fund. For every station built, a donation equivalent to one kWh supports rural education and infrastructure projects.
2024 – Expanding the Vision
We launched CHINT PVSTAR, our global brand for full-stack photovoltaic solutions. Combining solar, storage, charging, and heating, we’re now delivering full-stack clean power for centralized large-scale photovoltaic power stations, C&I institutions, government agencies, hospitals and other organizations, households—and pioneering new ground in grid integration and green energy trading.
